ALTAIR III – Timeless Elegance Preparing for the Season

From May 26th to June 5th, San Giorgio del Porto S.p.A. had the pleasure of hosting ALTAIR III, a classic 59-meter by 11-meter yacht launched in 1974 and now owned by a well-known Italian entrepreneur, at its shipyard. During its brief stay in the dry dock, several maintenance and restyling works were carried out, including:

Hull treatment with high-pressure washing and antifouling renewal.
High-pressure cleaning of the propulsion propeller and the maneuvering thruster.
Renewal of sacrificial anodes (zincs) on the hull.
Polishing of the stainless steel components of the hawseholes.

This targeted intervention was designed to best prepare the yacht for the summer season, preserving its original charm. ALTAIR III represents a perfect combination of classicism and modernity: its original electrical and propulsion systems are still fully functional today and comply with modern standards. Tradition, care, and technology are all at the service of elite navigation.
